TAIWAN SALES MISSION
2025
CASE STUDY
The Taiwan market is an important source of inbound visitation to Australia, supported by strong travel demand and established aviation connectivity. Targeted trade engagement plays a key role in connecting Australian tourism with operators and supporting continued growth in visitor arrivals.
QBD Marketing Solutions and Australian Tourism Connections successfully delivered the Taiwan Sales Mission 2025, held from 4–6 November at Illume Taipei, with sponsorship from Sydney Zoo.
The program brought together around 20 Australian tourism service providers and approximately 30 major Taiwanese travel agents, creating a focused platform for B2B engagement through structured meetings and networking opportunities. This initiative helped strengthen market alignment, support future collaboration, and explore new travel opportunities.
The mission was supported by key industry stakeholders, reflecting strong collaboration across the travel and tourism sector.
Christopher Lim, Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner and Deputy Representative at the Australian Office in Taipei, delivered the opening address, sharing insights into both markets and supporting industry engagement.
Representatives from China Airlines and Tourism and Events Queensland also attended, further strengthening connections across the broader travel trade ecosystem.
Additionally, participating suppliers undertook targeted trade visits with key agents, including KKday and Lion Travel. These visits provided valuable insights into local distribution channels, consumer preferences, and product positioning within the Taiwan market.
The Taiwan Sales Mission 2025 provided a targeted and efficient platform for building direct relationships between suppliers and buyers, strengthening understanding of the Taiwan outbound market, and supporting ongoing business development through in-market engagement.
Through curated meetings and structured coordination, the program facilitated meaningful connections and reinforced the value of strategic B2B engagement in driving international tourism growth.
